Directed by Kwak Jaeyoung and starring Zhou Xun, “Meet Miss Anxiety” releases new trailer

Remember our post about how China is filming a government-supported sequel to Kwak Jaeyoung’s My Sassy Girl? It turns out the original director has been busy!

Kwak Jaeyoung’s new movie is called Meet Miss Anxiety (我的早更女友), and it features a few of China’s top actors, including no other than Zhou Xun herself. Considered on China’s A-list celebrity list, Zhou Xun married Chinese-American actor Archie Kao earlier this year after a surprise engagement announcement on her Weibo. She was also in Tom Hanks’ and Halle Barry’s Cloud Atlas. Other actors in Meet Miss Anxiety include Tong Dawei, Taiwan-based Wallace Chung, and recent Miss China pageant winner Zhang Zilin.

Meet Miss Anxiety is among a slew of film collaborations between talents in the Chinese and Korean film industries. In our last article, we mentioned that the Chinese government recently started fully supporting Chinese-Korean co-productions. While this new movie by Kwak Jaeyoung is not one of those projects – at least, as far as we have read online anyway – it’s certainly one of the more recent collaborations that will see public release in Chinese movie theatres soon.

Check out the Meet Miss Anxiety trailer and movie posters below!
