Super Junior member Kim Heechul will host an upcoming Chinese variety show called To Have You on This Road (一路上有你).
To Have You on This Road is described as a travel entertainment program that will feature three celebrity couples from China who visit Korea and experience a guided tour by Heechul and one co-host. The show is co-produced by Korea and China, and is Heechul’s first ever emcee duty on a Chinese television show.
Part of the show will be filmed inside a house where the three couples live for the duration of their trip. Heechul will also reside there to view the affection and relationship between the couples.
To Have You on This Road premieres January 10, 2015 on Zhejiang Television. Its first episode will feature actor Julian Cheung, with actress Anita Yuen; former Olympic diver turned actor Tian Liang, with actress Ye Yiqian; actor He Ziming, with singer He Jie. EXO-M member Tao will be the show’s first Chinese-speaking co-host.
The first episode was filmed from November 27 to 29 in Seoul. Some lucky fans were able to take photos during the show filming. Celebrities He Jie and Tian Liang documented their trip to Korea as well, sharing various group photos onto their Weibo profiles.
Heechul told Kpop Herald that the three couples seemed to like his company, and that they had invited him to visit China one day. “They even asked me to visit China with them since there is not such an odd boy like me (there). When the SM Entertainment crew heard this, they said that there is no boy like Heechul in Korea, either. And we all laughed.”
Although filming for To Have You on This Road only started filming recently, its official Weibo has already garnered nearly 65,000 followers.
The entire series will be filmed in Korea. Chinese K-Pop fans who are currently in Seoul can scope out TV filming locations while it is still being filmed!
